Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my favorite charity is in your Kadogo database?
We support grants to any of the 1.4 million charities listed as tax-deductible in the IRs’ database. You can verify that the charity is in our database by creating an account and using the search bar at the top right of the page, and if it is not there, you can suggest or add your favorite nonprofit. You don’t have to link a bank account or make a contribution in order to search for charities. We update our database monthly.
What if I can not find my charity on Kadogo?
I would love to have a portion of my paycheck go directly to my charitable giving fund in Kadogo. How can I make this happen before funds hit my account?
Charities receive a consolidated payment from Kadogo that bundles all donations received since their last payment. We send grants in batches, 4 times per year.
How soon can I issue a grant to my favorite nonprofit on Kadogo?
Giving shouldn’t wait! You can make grants with your Kadogo balance immediately after initiating a contribution. We assume that your contribution will clear, and reflect your contribution in your balance right away (even though the funds haven’t technically “settled” at our financial institution.) We will wait until your contribution clears and settles at our bank before reviewing and fulfilling your grant. Contributions made before 5:00 PM Central Time typically clear within 4 – 6 banking days. Grants are disbursed to charities 4 times a year.
Can I support a specific fund, cause, project, and or church?
Yes, you can use Kadogo to designate gifts toward support of specific funds (such as an Annual Fund or a Capital Campaign), projects, missionaries, or children. Simply select “Specific need” on the grant page, and enter the name, code, or ID of the specific project, missionary, or child toward which the charity should direct your grant.
How does corporate gift matching work?
Where can I check the status of my grant?
